Position: Strategy Manager

Location: Warszawa, Poland

As our new Strategy Manager, you will help chart the course for Nettos future growth and success. You will play a key role in shaping and executing our strategy, working closely with the management team to drive progress towards our growth ambitions. Ultimately, you will work to ensure that the strategic direction is set and followed alongside key stakeholders.

Among other things, you will:

  • Be reviewing and adjusting our strategy to ensure performance
  • Support strategic initiatives across functional areas and report on progress to CEO and CFO
  • Facilitate and engage in strategic discussions and workshops with top management and other key stakeholders
  • Bring your natural problem-solving abilities to explore innovative solutions to projects across functional areas
  • Build relationships with a large group of of internal partners both in Poland and internationally across Salling Group

An experienced strategist with a strong quantitative toolbox and interpersonal skills

We are looking for someone with a mature strategy toolbox who can frames situations, spot their complications, ask questions and develop solutions together with key stakeholders. You have a down-to-earth approach and collaborate well across teams and borders, not being afraid to take a hands-on approach in the engine room of the company. You have an ambition to move the needle for the business by bringing your experience and unique perspective to the table. In this role, you will be reporting directly to our CFO.

We imagine that you will bring the following to the table:

  • A relevant university degree within e.g., strategy, finance, business administration, or economics
  • 3-5 years of experience from management consulting or a relevant strategy position in industries such as FMCG
  • Solid communication skills, an open mind and the ability to work across organizational levels
  • Proactiveness and curiosity to take initiative and drive projects
  • Project management skills with a structured, proactive and thorough approach
  • The ability to easily shift between abstract strategic discussions and operational details
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data-driven insights and PowerPoint for compelling storytelling
  • Fluency in both written and oral English is essential

Netto Polska is a retail chain originating from Denmark, which during its 29 years of presence on the Polish market has developed a position of one of the largest retailers in our country.

The first Netto store in Poland was established in 1995 at ul. Emilia Gierczak in Szczecin. We currently operate approximately 660 stores and five distribution centres and employs approximately 10,000 people.

We are a part of Salling Group, the largest retailer in Denmark.
